Before your visit
To help make the consultation useful, bring:
- Your Emirates ID or other identification requested by the hospital, and your insurance details.
- Your medication list, inhalers and spacer, if you use them.
- Previous breathing-test reports, relevant chest imaging and other available medical reports.
- A referral letter, if requested, and any existing asthma action plan.
- A short record of your symptoms, when they occur and the questions you would like to discuss.
If a breathing test has been arranged, follow the testing centre’s preparation instructions. Do not stop prescribed inhalers or other medicines on your own.
What to expect at the consultation
Dr. Aslam will discuss your symptoms and medical history, review available reports and examine you. The next steps may include selected investigations, a treatment review or follow-up. Not every patient needs the same tests.
Before you leave, ask how and when any results will be discussed and whether a follow-up appointment is needed. If you hope to have a particular test at the same visit, confirm availability and preparation with the hospital in advance.
